So get your paints, markers and craft materials ready and watch your little ones create wonderful Easter eggs.

Easter themed eggs

Easter bunny designs can be quite cute. Paint the egg the color you want the bunny to be. Once dry, glue on some googly eyes and draw over some features like the nose, mouth, whiskers and ears. You can glue a pompom for his tail. You can also make a yellow chick – paint it yellow, draw on the beak and all other features, glue some feathers on top.

cartoon characters

Post an image of the cartoon you want on the Internet and copy it. The minions are simple to make – paint the top half yellow and the bottom half blue before adding the eyes and goggles. Mr Potato Head from Toy Story also lends itself to a cute egg decoration. If the egg is already brown in color, all you have to do is draw or glue on elements or accessories with whatever craft materials you have.

Super hero

Spiderman, Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman – these are all possibilities. Kids just need an image they can take inspiration from.

It will be pretty easy to do because kids can literally stick whatever they want and use whatever paints they want to turn the eggs into monsters. Creepy teeth, as many googly eyes as possible, weird expressions, a number of arms made out of pipe cleaners. You get the essentials.

funny faces

Much like the monster theme, the possibilities are endless. A few silly expressions and bright colors, and you laugh.

These can take the form of jungle animals, farm animals, birds or insects. Draw them or use pom poms, feathers, pipe cleaners, etc. to give them the right look.

pretty eggs

These will be perfect for kids who love sparkly decorations. Bring out the jewels, sequins, ribbons and everything else with a little bling. These will go well with floral designs.

You don’t always need to paint or color the eggs. A good set of stickers will do.

You can always create a simple pattern. Whether it’s zigzags in different colors, shapes like stars or hearts, or colorful dots painted with a cotton swab, it all adds up to a pretty decoration.
