Ideas for a perfect interior decoration

Not all decorating ideas require a large investment of time and money. If you’re looking for some affordable interior decorating ideas to spruce up a room over the weekend, make your home stand out with these little accents:

-Rearrange furniture: Move your furniture away from the walls. Try to position it at intriguing angles. Arranging the sofa diagonally in the narrow living room will make the room look wider and provide a warm and inviting layout.

-Paint, Paint & Clean: You’ll be surprised what a new coat of paint or cleaning your existing moldings and doors will do to any room or your entire home. Don’t forget the baseboards, moldings and doors. Find new colors and useful utensils at your local home improvement store.

-Paint a wall: Paint a wall with your favorite color and make it the focal point. Hang interesting works of art on this wall and move a nice piece of furniture to it.

-Bring Plants: Greenery always adds a breath of fresh air to a room. If you don’t have a green thumb, try silk plants and trees. The quality is so good that it’s hard to tell them apart from the real thing.

– Color Mixing: Vivid colors and good lighting work together for instant cheerfulness.

-Louche on the light: One of the most important things is to have all the natural light possible. People respond to light very well.

-Dressing: The creative use of moldings, fabrics and even paint will make magic around your doors and windows. You will find them in wood or synthetic in your DIY store.

– Hang pictures or mirror: Hang pictures that reflect your personality. Try more ornate frames. When hanging a mirror, try to position it so that it reflects a beautiful sight or an interesting architectural feature.

-Do not clutter: the clutter is always working against you. Keep it simple. Add vertical space with shelves or bookcases in closets or other areas to minimize clutter as much as possible.

– Lay a rug: A rug is a wonderful way to define a conversation area. Try one that completes the room. Place it at an angle under your coffee table.

-Group Figures: Take out your favorite collectibles. Show your personality. Find a display area and group the associated objects, in groups of three or five. Try to vary the shapes.

-Add Throw or Afghan: Similar to throw pillows, throws and afghans add texture to your furniture. They come in all kinds of natural and synthetic fabrics. Find a pattern and style that you like.

-Replace Lights: Lights are probably the one thing in your home that will give others a clue that your room is outdated. Look for new and fresh lamps that make a statement.

-Add Decorative Cushions: The good news about throw pillows is that they are an easy way to add texture and pattern to a room. Best of all, they can be swapped out to liven up a sofa or chair before your room is ready for a major makeover.

-Add candles / candle holders: it’s always a winner. If you have some intriguing candle holders, give them a try. Use at least two candle holders for balance.

-Display a figurine or sculpture: Any eye-catching sculpture or figurine will make a wonderful statement as well as a conversation piece.

-Display Books: Display some interesting hardcover books that have covers that match your decor color scheme. Preferably, the books should be the larger versions, but should not be too thick.

-Exhibition pottery: earthy and warm, pottery makes a great addition to your home decor.

– Showcase Straw Baskets: Like pottery, straw baskets add charm and warmth to your home.

-Use a Decorative Screen: A decorative screen makes a great backdrop to any room. It adds dimension and texture.

If your room presents a decorating challenge, try some of these ideas to add life to your interiors.
