Nigerians react to former EFCC boss, Magu’s decoration as AIG

Reactions followed the decoration of former Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Chairman Ibrahim Magu as Deputy Inspector General of Police (AIG).

Naija News points out that the Inspector General of Police, Usman Babadecorated Magu on Thursday at the police headquarters in Abuja, in the presence of Magu’s wife.

It comes after the force confirmed that Magu had retired from the Nigeria Police Service (NPF), after reaching 60, the mandatory retirement age on May 5.

Recall that the The Police Services Commission (PSC) has confirmed Magu’s promotion who was suspended from the commission for allegations of corruption.

CPS Spokesperson Ikechukwu Ani while speaking about the promotion in a statement released on May 16 revealed that Magu missed the last two promotions despite being the most senior CP in his cadre.

Reacting to the development, some netizens took to social media to express their views regarding Magu’s decoration as the police AIG.
